Financial Peace University
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love  one another, for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law.  Romans 13:8

No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the  other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You  cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a  nine-week class that teaches us how to spend, save and give money using  Biblical principles. It teaches us how to get out of debt, save for  retirement, leave a legacy for our children’s children, and most  importantly, how to GIVE.  It is life changing!  Sessions will be posted  on the events calendar.

Parents may be asked to participate in some events and help the young ladies get to club meetings,  provide supplies, etc. on occasion. Travel may occur for field trips to expand hands on experience or to just have some plain old fashioned fun! Young ladies 9 years of age, or turning 9 sometime  during the calendar year, through seniors in high school are welcome to join. Want to be a mentor? Contact the church office.

Red Kettle Campaign

First Christian Church (Disciples of  Christ) in Fulton, Mo., was instrumental in establishing the Salvation Army Service Unit of Callaway County. Determining that the greatest need in the community is meeting utility costs for many local households, the Service Unit committee organized the first Red Kettle Campaign with  funds designated for utilities. Contributions were handled  and funds distributed through the church office the first two years. Help through the Salvation Army fund is now distributed at SERVE, Inc.   First Christian Church provides leadership and is responsible for organizing and coordinating the annual  Red Kettle Campaign.  Help is always needed during the  campaign!  The more bell ringers, the merrier! Please contact the church office to learn how you can support the Red Kettle Campaign of the Salvation Army Service Unit of Callaway County.
