Festival of Sharing
Held the third Sunday of October, it is a day that people of faith, from many different denominations all over the state, gather at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Mo. The event promotes and supports projects and programs that respond to hunger, poverty and injustice in the world. The interfaith event is an expression of mission support and involvement that has helped improve the lives of countless individuals in Missouri and around the world. Financial Peace University
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law.

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-week class that teaches us how to spend, save and give money using Biblical principles. It teaches us how to get out of debt, save for retirement, leave a legacy for our children’s children, and most importantly, how to GIVE. It is life changing! Sessions will be posted on the events calendar.
The club is a place where we have fun, learn, and help others while gaining valuable life skills. If you want a safe place to talk, relax, grow and have fun
this is the place to be. Parents, the goal of the club is to develop beautiful women that can care for themselves and others. Parents may be asked to participate in some events and help the young ladies get to club meetings, provide supplies, etc. on occasion. Travel may occur for field trips to expand hands on experience or to just have some plain old fashioned fun! Young ladies 9 years of age, or turning 9 sometime during the calendar year, through seniors in high school are welcome to join. Want to be a mentor? Contact the church office.
Caring individuals donate time, food and money to support Wiley House/Haven House meals every other Friday. The Wiley House is an emergency overnight shelter for adult men and women. For more information, contact the church office.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
A ministry where folks that know how to crochet or knit basic stitches lovingly and prayerfully create shawls for comfort and peace. The shawls are given to those in need. For more information, contact the church office.
Red Kettle Campaign
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fulton, Mo., was instrumental in establishing the Salvation Army Service Unit of Callaway County. Determining that the greatest need in the community is meeting utility costs for many local households, the Service Unit committee organized the first Red Kettle Campaign with funds designated for utilities. Contributions were handled and funds distributed through the church office the first two years. Help through the Salvation Army fund is now distributed at SERVE, Inc. First Christian Church provides leadership and is responsible for organizing and coordinating the annual Red Kettle Campaign. Help is always needed during the campaign! Building and Grounds Committee
The committee maintains the property of the church. If you are skilled in any building practice or practices, we can always use your help. For more information, contact the church office.
Christian Education Ministry
The Christian Education Ministry plans, provides and nurture the church family's spiritual growth in God’s word. This ministry offers opportunities to grow spiritually through Bible Study and discussion. Sunday School is offered every Sunday. Opportunities exist to help in areas of bible study, Sunday School instruction, worship services, church camps, vacation bible school, Kingdom Kids, etc. If you are interested in learning more or want to volunteer, please contact the church office.
The church board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. Meetings usually last one-hour. Church family is invited and encouraged to attend.
Church Growth Ministry
The Ministry publicizes and evangelizes the mission of the church. The ministry promotes other church ministries, informs the community-at-large, provides welcome packets to guests, promotes opportunities for members to become more effective in spreading God’s word, and assist Membership Ministry. If you love meeting and speaking with people, this ministry may be for you. For more information, contact the church office.
The committee is responsible for the collection and preservation of records, reports, pictures and other items that help maintain a comprehensive history of the church. If you have an interest in recording history and preserving memories, please contact the church office to learn how you can join this committee.
The ministry provides overall nurturing of the church family through activities and information sharing and includes material development, activity coordination and planning, maintaining member records, scheduling fellowship dinners, securing Sunday morning greeters, and maintaining the web site are some of the ministry responsibilities. If you love people and love planning social events and activities, or are skilled at writing, graphic design, or technology / computers, this ministry is for you. The second Sunday of most months, a different group within the church family sponsors or hosts the Fellowship Dinner. The host provides setup / cleanup around a theme if they choose, drinks, and often times the main course. All church pot-luck dinners are also popular. In this case, the host group still provides dinner setup / cleanup and drinks.
The ministry challenges the church family to look at the ministries beyond our own life by educating and motivating the church family to support outreach activities. For more information, contact the church office.
Stewardship and Finance Committee
The committee develops within the church family an understanding of the full meaning of Christian stewardship as it relates to time, talent and financial resources; and to plan, develop and promote programs for underwriting the financial needs of the church. The ministry encourages the devotional life among the church family through coordination of regular and special worship services.This ministry coordinates communion, schedules candle lighters, coordinates baptisms, organizes special services, schedules children’s moments, provides training for receiving offering and serving communion, etc. To assist with this ministry, contact the church office.
If you like to sing or make a joyful noise to the Lord, the choir is for you. The Chancel Choir is a mixed ensemble of singers who share a wide variety of music throughout the worship service. They practice weekly and before Sunday school on Sunday mornings. The church has a three octave Bell Choir that practices every week and plays several times a month during Worship Service.
