We are busy making plans for the holiday season, including our float in the Christmas Parade on December 7. Mary Jane Schultz is heading up this project and it is already shaping up nicely! There is an entry fee for the parade. This year those who enter a float in the parade are asked to make a $20 donation or to donate at least that amount in new toys to benefit Foster Adopt Connect of Callaway County.
Foster Adopt Connect of Callaway County programs directly benefit the children placed into foster and adoptive homes as well as the wonderful families that take in these children. Our Callaway County group provides training for foster families, a picnic and back-to-school supplies for the children, a Christmas party for the children with presents and other activities to help the children feel safe and loved with their new foster and adoptive families.
There will be a box set up soon to receive new toys to be donated as our entry fee for the parade. Let’s work together to bring as much joy as possible to children in our community!!
I look forward to seeing you all then!
The sign up for the Salvation Army bell ring is different and much more efficient this year. You can visit the Salvation Army Callaway County Facebook page to see the link or go to the following to register.
All registering is done online at: https://mobile.registertoring.com/WebPages/Default.aspx. Registration is very easy online and will prevent people from being double booked. There will be bell ringing at Walmart and Moser's this year with two hour shifts.
